Emergency Shelter
Sometimes the abuse becomes so violent or threatening that it is no longer safe
for a victim to stay in their home or community. In these cases, emergency domestic
violence shelter may be the best option. The network of domestic violence shelters
across the state can be accessed by calling Safelink, the statewide hotline at 877-785-2020.
These shelters are clean, safe and confidential, and provide supportive services including
housing advocacy and counseling.
